Suede Brooks Wins Celebrity Poker Tour Game Night VI by Striking Out Jose Canseco

Suede Brooks Wins Celebrity Poker Tour Game Night VI by Striking Out Jose Canseco
The Greatest Show on Felt returned to Las Vegas on May 2, giving fans a nail-biting tournament
that nearly stretched into the morning hours. In the final showdown, Major League Baseball
legend Jose Canseco locked horns with influencer Suede Brooks, and one player’s stone-cold
skills brought them the night’s $10,000 prize.
A field of 10 players rounded out the stable for Game Night VI, with returning players like
internet sensation Hailey Welch, UFC fighter Mackenzie Dern and sports content creator Book It
With Trent competing against fellow athletes and social media stars.
Each player started with 100,000 chip stacks with one additional 100,000 rebuy. A 7-2 Bounty
was also in effect, meaning if any player won a hand with 7-2, each player still in the tournament
must pay them one big blind.
Hailey Welch started off the night strong despite having no knowledge of poker. She simply
used the Waka Flocka method – randomly raising and calling with unbridled confidence. It
worked… and she quickly took 42,000 of Jose Canseco’s chips. Welch even lucked her way
into a flush when MacKenzie Dern had pocket Queens. Welch had no idea she’d even won the
hand until the dealer pushed the chips her way.
“Oh, did I win?! Yay!!!” Welch reacted.
Welch tried to continue her dominant streak by attempting a literal rear naked choke on NFL
legend Adrian Peterson. Her arms weren’t quite strong enough, but Dern’s were! She
demonstrated her World Champion BJJ skills and clamped her arms around Peterson’s neck,
showing Welch how to properly send a man into the shadow realm.

Despite some early difficulties, both Dern and Canseco rallied to become Game Night VI’s most
reliable killers. Canseco busted his own daughter, Josie, who came to Game Night VI to prove
her worth on the table. Josie had a strong A-8 in the pocket, but it just wasn’t enough for her
father’s A-K… plus the two extra Kings that hit felt.
Dern won a few nice hands, taking the chip lead after a Full House landed on the board. Nines
full of Eights showed on the table, leading internet personality Zach Justice to believe he’d be
splitting the pot with Dern. Not so fast… with a pair of Tens in her hand, Dern secured the
bigger Full House and took 111,000 of Justice’s chips.
The first eliminated from Game Night VI was chess streamer Alex Botez. She went All In with
pocket Tens but Jose Canseco countered with pocket Queens. With a Queen in the flop and
another Queen on the River, it was a QQQQ strikeout from Canseco. Botez left in a frustrating
10th place.
Peterson was soon taken out by the assassin Dern – she put him to sleep for real this time.
Jose Canseco eliminated Zach Justice thanks to a pair of bullets, before alternate Trent Attyah
stopped by the table for a cup of coffee. Attyah got crushed almost instantly by Welch thanks to
a pair of Aces that landed in her pocket. Even Hailey knew she had fire in those hands.

Dern came back to show no mercy for Josie Canseco. Despite having a suited 8-4, a
statistically weak hand, Dern beat Canseco’s suited A-J thanks to a 8 in the flop. Bad beat for
the runway model. She went home in Sixth Place.
Up to this point, Game Night VI had been all Mackenzie Dern, Jose Canseco and Hailey Welch.
However, a dark horse began to emerge in beauty influencer Suede Brooks. Out of nowhere,
Brooks started to show out. She sent Haliey Welch home with three Fours, all while taking a
boatload of Dern’s chips in the hand.
Canseco quickly piled on to avenge his daughter’s elimination. He pulled a suited A-J against
Dern’s A-K. With a King hitting felt during the flop, Dern thought she had the board won, but the
10-Q-K flop gave Canseco a Straight right out the gate. An Ace on the turn gave Dern Aces and
Kings, leading her to go All In. The UFC favorite needed a Full House to take out the baseball
legend, but the River turned a 4, eliminating Dern and giving Canseco 1.4 million in chips. Bad
beat for Dern, but she ended the night in a respectable Fourth Place.
With Dern eliminated, Brooks took her Hall of Fame poker face and began her femme fatale arc.
Landing trip Sixes on the Flop, she stayed ice cold against YouTuber CJ So Cool. Brooks lured
CJ into going All In with just A-2 in his hands. He never had a chance. CJ got crushed and ran
from the table in Third Place.
“Listen man, I was trying to flirt with her all day,” CJ said. “I was trying to finesse her. She used it
against me and finessed me. Honestly, that was my fault for going All In. She played me.”

And then there were two. Canseco was a heavy favorite in his head-to-head showdown with
Brooks, possessing more than twice as many chips as the influencer. However, by remaining
cool and reading Canseco like a book, Brooks took the lead and rarely handed it back.
Without showing a crack in her armor or even a drop of sweat on her head, Brooks slowly
sucked the life out of Canseco. The baseball icon showed some fight in Hour Four of the game,
tying up the chip count at 1,000,000 each, but Brooks had the moment seized, eventually taking
half of Canseco’s million-chip stack.
The final hand of the night was a nail-biter. Brooks pulled a pocket Q-4 while Canseco landed a
suited 6-3. The flop showed 3-4-K, giving each player a small pair. Canseco checked as another
King came on the turn, but Brooks came out aggressive and raised him 250,000. Canseco took
the bait. He went All In, showing Kings and Threes before Brooks even called. It was basically
taking candy from a baby. Brooks called and showed Kings and Fours.
With a Seven on the River, Suede Brooks emerged as Celebrity Poker Tour Game Night VI
champion.

CPT founder Blake Wynn presented Brooks with her CPT championship belt along with the
night’s prize — $10,000. Brooks will defend her spot as champion on May 10, when CPT
Invitational VI airs live with a stacked lineup of stars.
